by Francois Gall (Hungarian, 1912-1987). President of the French National Union of Painters and Sculptors, Gall was born in Hungary and moved to Paris as a young man. Trained at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Rome, he gained fame for his scenes of workers and families engaged in day-to-day activities. Today, Gall’s work is shown in embassies and museums throughout Europe.
